Another school project. This time, I was tasked with creating weapon set concepts. I began with silhouettes. I ended up selecting a silhouette that I thought would not only look interesting as a painted concept but also one that would not be too difficult to create in 3D.
I then modeled the painted concept in 3ds Max using the artwork as a reference. Afterward, I exported the models to substance painter to add texture and other details. This was one of the most challenging assignments for me but despite that, I learned an incredible amount about the 3D modeling production process.
