Sacred Land

The Monk lives on the edge of a land once ruled by ancient warriors.

I began by developing thumbnails; painting masses and adding detail to those shapes to see what I could come up with. I knew I wanted to create something that visibly tells more story. The thumbnail for this piece inspired me the most so I decided to see where it could go by experimenting with bright colours, different brushes, and using the lasso tools to refine shapes.

I was inspired by the film, 'Spirited Away', for certain areas of this piece as well as other amazing artists here on Artstation.
